Acupuncture
Sports Acunpuncture and Tuina Acupressure by TCM specialist Mr Zhang
The aim of acupuncture is to regulate the meridians or channels of the body to re-open the stagnation of QI (energy). What is the Qi? Qi is the "vital force", the "life force", or energy within a person. The Chinese beleve that this Qi can be enhanced, improved and nourished so that the patient is not only symptom free but is healthy and full of vitality.
When the practitioner carefully inserts the needles you may feel a slight tingling sensation. The doctor will ask you when you experience this 'needle sensation' because that is when the treatment is begining to have effect. After acupuncture you will feel relaxed or even slightly sleepy, so please take care not to tackle anything too strenuous for a few hours afterwards.
