About Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) dates back to 21st century B.C. In the intervening years since then it has been painstakingly researched and extensively practiced. TCM is the oldest, safest and most natural form of medical care, the aim is to active the innate healing ability of the body and mind to have the problems treated, rather than just suppressing the symptoms.
TCM sees health as a balance in the body of two opposing and complementary aspects of YIN and YANG, which provides a hamrmonious and correct flow QI (vital energy) when this manifests itself as the symptoms of disease.
Different therapies are applied to rectify imbalance and strengthen the self-healing system (like immune system in western concept), so that the patient is not only symptom -free but is healthy and full of vitality.
The main difference between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine is more likely to treat the causes of the illness rather than the symptoms and it is safer than Western medicine.
How does a Chinese Doctor make a diagnosis?

Diagnostic information from a Chinese doctor is gathered by four examinations (Look,Listen question, feel the pulse), Most important examinations are based on examining your tongue and wrist pulses.
The condition of your tongue, its overall colour and the coating will tell the doctor about the condition of your internal organs.
Each of us has 125 different pulse rates to which the doctor has been trained to differentiate, then the doctor will be able to tell the state of your internal organs.
